One of the most underrated holidays is Thanksgiving. Although its origins come from not such a wonderful place. The current holiday is all about things that are important to me – family time, being thankful for what we have, and of course food.
That means an inviting table set up for your friends and family. With this simple Thanksgiving craft, I can help you do just that!

The best part – the total project costs are below $5.00!! That includes a delicious yogurt you get to eat??.
Thanksgiving Craft – Oui Yogurt Jar Candle Holders
- Oui Yogurt Jar – at least 2 (but you may need more, depending on table size)
- Fall Ribbon
- Glue Gun
- Rubbing Alcohol (optional)
Step 1: Take a clean and empty Oui Yogurt Jar (or any similar small open glass jar you have on hand)
Step 2: Remove the labels from the jar. I found running hot water over the label made it easy to remove. Then I follow up with a quick wipe of rubbing alcohol if there is any residue left.
Step 3: Take a piece of festive ribbon and wrap it around the top of the jar, just under the lip. Make a tic mark where the ribbon touches the other end.
Step 4: Cut the ribbon at the tic mark.
Step 5: Take the cut ribbon and use it as a template to cut as many ribbons as you need. I put 2 on my table due to side restrictions, you may need more.
Step 6: Take your pre-heated glue gun and put a dab of glue on the glass jar. Affix the ribbon quickly to the glass jar where you placed the glue.
Step 7: Wrap the ribbon around and place another dab of glue on the ribbon and affix. Let set and dry.
Step 8: Add the candle and light.
This Thanksgiving craft is such a simple way to get ready for Thanksgiving. It is quick and easy, as well as able to be completed with about 10 minutes of work time.
