Everyone goes number 2, but no one wants to talk about it, or smell it! So, I set about finding out how to make these #2 Loo Sprays. I like to call it Loo Pouri. They are super simple to make and everyone loves them as a gift. They make a great gift for friends, family, hosts, neighbors, coworkers, etc. What I love most about this is that the time to make several bottles is well under 10 minutes total work time. Plus, it is was less expensive than the brand for sale!!
Bergamot, Lemongrass, and Blood Orange Loo Pouri
Ingredients
- rubbing alcohol
- vegetable glycerin
- distilled water
- Bergamot essential oil (I usually use Barefut, but was out so I used Now)
- Lemongrass essential oil (I use Barefut)
- Blood Orange (or your favorite citrus) essential oil (I use Barefut)
Directions
- In an aluminum bottle or glass bottle (if you use a glass bottle use a blue or brown bottle, not clear) place into the bottle the following
- Add 2 and 1/2 Tablespoons of rubbing alcohol place the top on and shake for 20 to 30 seconds. this is so the oils will mix with the rubbing alcohol.

- Remove the top again once you are done shaking it.
- Add 1 Tablespoon of Vegetable Glycerin. Some people say castile soap will work too, but I used the glycerin. I have tested it previously and I know it works. If you do not have vegetable glycerin, I would recommend adding 1 Tablespoon of castile soap that is unscented instead.
- Fill with distilled water, leaving enough room that when you shake it the contents can easily mix.I stop filling at the start of the curve of the top of the bottle.

- Add the top and shake again to property mix it. I test it in the bathroom to make sure that after a few spritzes the lovely citrus smell is coming through.
- Now it is ready to use and to give as a gift or part of a gift!
- All you have to do is shake before you use and spray 6 times in the toilet before you go. voila!! The poo smell will be in the toilet and not in the air. Just in time for the holidays and extra traffic at your house!! We leave ours out on the back of the toilet and have a tag that says SPRAY ME FIRST.
Below you can see the finished product of gifts I made for my coworkers and neighbors. I was able to make 10 bottles of Loo Pouri in under 20 minutes. That is pretty awesome! It makes a great gift for Neighbors, CoWorkers, Family and Friends alike. They loved it so much they asked for the recipe so they could make it themselves.
